Young farmers will spend an entire 24 hours ploughing at a South Hams farm to raise money for two charities.
The 24 hour Ploughathon organised by Ivybridge Young Farmers this Friday and Saturday starts with a barbecue from 7.30pm that the public are welcome to attend.
Ploughing begins at 8pm, with members going through the night and most of the next day until they get out of the tractor for the last time at 8pm on Saturday.
The event is taking place at Scobbiscombe Farm, Kingston this Friday and Saturday, September 22 and 23. The group is raising money for the Farming Community Network and Myeloma UK.
Tractors and ploughs are being sponsored by MST, Masons, Andrew Symons, Dunns Ploughs and Marshall Plant hire.
Diesel has been provided by Watsons, Heltor and some local farmers.
