A huge fire has broken out over night destroying four residential homes and the Tradesman’s Arms pub in Stokenham.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are still on scene damping down and investigating the cause of the fire.
Other than minor smoke inhalation, there were no significant injuries. A Spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "We were called just after midnight about a thatch fire at the Tradesmans Arms pub in Stokenham, near Kingsbridge. "The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen and has affected the pub and three terraced thatch properties. All people have evacuated and we currently have 12 fire engines at the scene. Firefighters in breathing apparatus are currently tackling the fire to bring it under control."Other than minor smoke inhalation, there were no significant injuries.The main A379 is now open but be aware of personnel operating in the area.
