A man who was Tasered following a two-hour police search has been jailed for breaching his restraining order.

Jason Riseley, of Hurrell Road, Kingsbridge, admitted breaching it twice on October 6 and 27 this year.

The 29-year-old also pleaded guilty to burglary and obstructing police at Plymouth Crown Court.

He was locked up for two years and three months on Monday, November 11.

Police were called to the village of Frogmore at about 3.50am on October 27 following reports of a disturbance at a property.

Riseley fled the scene and a police helicopter was called out to help capture him.

At about 5.45am he was discovered hiding in a nearby field.

Officers say he became violent, leading to him to being Tasered and detained.

A force spokesman said: “Police were called at 3.50am on Sunday, October 27, to an address in Frogmore following a disturbance at a property.

“Units attended and undertook a search for a male suspect, this was initially unsuccessful, so police requested the NPAS helicopter support at around 5am.

“The suspect was located with their support at around 5.45am.

“The suspect became aggressive towards officers and a Taser was deployed.”
