The seventh Kingston Fun Day has been described by organisers as the “biggest and best yet”.
With a selection of local and national musicians performing across two stages, a dog show, bubble football, a kids creation station, the Plym Valley Hockey Club cake stall and a tug of war - there was plenty to keep the crowds of visitors and locals occupied throughout the day and evening.
The tug of war was won by Modbury with a team including Demophobic band members.
Some of the bands that played included the South Hams’ The Cogs, Chris Bailey, Jon Hardy, Silvington and Sy Russell; and from further afield, Demophobic, Thomas Ford and the Stratotones, Neon Island and Radiosaurus.
Gemma Papp, one of the organisers said: “We’d like to thank all the local supporters and volunteers who helped out, along with all the businesses who supported us, particularly the Dolphin Inn.
“Big thanks to In The Dog House from Kingsbridge who supported the dog show.
“Kingston Fun Day is a non-profit event, so everything received goes towards next year’s event. The day also raises money for St James the Less church in Kingston, the Kingston Reading Rooms and the village children’s stay and play group.”
