A local charity black tie gala dinner has raised over £4,500.
The evening was headlined by top 80s band Bad Manners, along with popular local covers band Society Rocks.
The event was organised by Events and Stuff South West Charitable Trust, who organise local events to support Save the Children.
Local trustee Lisa Butcher, from Chillington, said: “We had over 240 people attend the event, which was held at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.
“We also had an auction which featured items such as an Antony Joshua boxing glove, a tour of the ITN Newsroom, signed photographs of Owen Farrell and Chris Martin, and many other top auction prizes. This helped us to raise such a significant amount.”
Ian Coulton, trustee, said: “It was such an amazing evening. Bad Manners performed all their hits, which had everyone dancing. Lead singer Buster Bloodvessel and the rest of the band were so accommodating, and they were ably supported by the brilliant Society Rocks.
“Our thanks are extended to everyone who supported this event, including sponsors MDP Southwest Ltd, and Harrier LLC.”
