Kingsbridge Town Councillors, along with other volunteers, will be out with buckets and rubber gloves next weekend, in a first step towards improving Fore Street.
Cllr Dena Bex explained that a group of town councillors including herself, Cllr Sam Dennis, Cllr Chris Povey, Cllr David Baisie, Cllr Graham Price, Cllr Robin Griffin, Cllr Barrie Fishman, Cllr Philip Cole and town clerk Martin Johnson - the Fore Street Taskforce - will be out with their buckets and cleaning supplies the day after Kingsbridge Celebrates Christmas.
Cllr Bex said: “We have a lot planned, but this is the first step to Love Fore Street. We’re hoping that members of the community connected to Fore Street will come and help out with a scrubbing brush.
“We’re also hoping that any businesses that are open that day might help us out refilling buckets and that sort of thing, and hopefully we can start making Fore Street look cleaner and more loved.”
If you would like to help out the ‘Fore Street Taskforce’, they will be meeting on Sunday, December 3, outside the cinema at 11am.
