CLASS 1 at Malborough Primary School went on their first school trip as part of their focus on transport.
They started the day by catching the bus into Salcombe and visiting Holy Trinity church, where the children were able to see the organ being played by Mr Becker.
They then walked down to the water and got the ferry to South Sands, where the children spent the afternoon on the beach making sandcastles and exploring.
Helen Broadgate from the school said: ‘All of the children had a fantastic day and behaved brilliantly.
‘A special ‘thank-you’ to Andrea, Paige and Jo who were our parent helpers for the day – without them the trip would not have been possible.
‘We would also like to thank the South Sands Ferry for taking the children free of charge.’
