Katie Porkess and her family certainly put their best foot forward when it comes to running.
Proud Katie, a run director of the newly established Sharpham Parkrun, has recruited several family members to take part in the popular event.
At Sharpham’s fourth Parkrun, Katie marshalled the race along with her grandson Oscar, 11.
Meanwhile her teenage granddaughter Tara, 13, was the first female runner to finish on the day, setting a new women’s course record of 19 minutes and 19 seconds.
To boot, son-in-law Mark completed the five kilometre course in first position, recording a time of 18 minutes and 31 seconds.
Parkrun is open to all. To take part register with Parkrun at www.parkrun.org.uk
