Three schools in the South Hams will be hosting non-uniform days to raise money for their chosen international charity tomorrow.
All Saints’ Thurlestone Church of England Academy, Charleton C of E Academy and West Alvington C of E Academy, who form the South hams Hub of the Learning Academy Partnership, will all be taking part on Friday, July 13.
The fundraiser is to raise money for Seeds of Hope, a Peruvian charity that focuses on caring for children living in extreme poverty. By providing economic, educational and emotional support, their aim is to “break the cycle of poverty” in the region and help vulnerable and impoverished children to live their lives to the full.
Pupils are encouraged to come to school in whatever clothes they like and all proceeds will go towards the charity. The federation aim to raise over £200 for Seeds of Hope.
