New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Hams’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Balti King Ltd, at Balti King, 5 Ticklemore Street, Totnes was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 19.

And Royal Gurkha Spice, at 9 Broad Street, Modbury was given a score of two on March 19.

It means that of South Hams's 206 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 179 (87%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
