Police were called at around 8am to Dartmouth following a report of attempted theft of a vehicle.

It was reported that a group of people had taken a vehicle and that members of the public nearby had stopped the vehicle and intervened.

Officers have arrested four males on suspicion of vehicle theft and they remain in police custody.

Searches and enquiries have been ongoing in the area.
