New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Hams’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Caf? Asia, at Cafe Asia, 10 Mill Street, Kingsbridge was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 12.

And Dream Turkish Kitchen, at 12 Mill Street, Kingsbridge was also given a score of five on June 12.

It means that of South Hams's 206 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 179 (87%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
