A GROUP of nurses are aiming to help people get out and be more active with a friendly walk in Kingsbridge on Saturday.

Julie Dunne and Katie Turner, nurses, and Belinda Deighton, senior nurse, from Norton Brook Medical Centre in Kingsbridge, are meeting at the Bandstand on the Quay on Saturday, November 14, for a ‘gentle’ walk around the town.

Julie said: ‘There are a lot of hills in Kingsbridge, so there may be a little bit of uphill, but we’re going to make it as mild as possible’.

Aimed at the elderly, or those who find walking and exercise more difficult, the short walk will become a regular occurrence if people find it helpful.

There is no need to book, just turn up at the Bandstand at 2pm and bring a bottle of water with you.
