Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club members have donated £750 to Kingsbridge In Bloom, enabling new planting displays.

Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club have donated to Kingsbridge In Bloom though their Community Support Grants.

Despite the recent extreme weather conditions, the Kingsbridge in Bloom team have been out working in preparation for a busy season ahead which will see the town entered into the 2018 RHS Regional and National Britain in Bloom Championships.

KIB chairman Graham Price said: “Thanks to our wonderful community groups, local businesses and continued support and appreciation of our residents we can now look to continue with our work to keep the town vibrant and attractive.

“This will enable refurbishment of three planting display areas along the Embankment in the town. Our enthusiastic team are raring to go with some novel and exiting displays planned for this year.”Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary is keen to support local clubs, organisations and schools through the £750 grant scheme. The grant is for, or towards, the cost of equipment, a project or a special event that provides benefit to members of the community. The scheme pays out quarterly and next applications need to be in by April 30. Please apply by completing and submitting an application on their website www.estuaryrotary.org.uk.
