FOLLOWING last year’s well-publicised incident in Ivybridge when a car crashed through the front of an Indian restaurant, a Kingsbridge driver has followed suit.
Around 11am on Monday morning a small silver hatchback crashed into the front of Squires Hair and Beauty in Bridge Street.
The vehicle came to rest at an angle of 45 degrees, with most of its front passenger side buried in the shopfront, which sustained substantial damage.
Police were quickly on the scene, and talked to the elderly male driver, who appeared unhurt in the crash. Eyewitnesses said the driver had been trying to park when he mounted the kerb, crashing through the shopfront in spectacular fashion.
