A local town has had a visit by residents from its twinned town.
Nineteen people from the town of Weilerbach travelled miles to visit its twinned town Kingsbridge on August 23.
Staying for a week, the residents visited several places within the South Hams as well as branching out for a trip to the Eden Project and a picnic at Lanhydrock House.
With several parties to enjoy throughout the week including a celebration dinner at Kingsbridge Rugby Club to draw their stay to a close, the residents of Weilerbach and people of Kingsbridge had plenty of opportunities to get to know one another and form friendships.
Mayor Anne Balkwill welcomed the German party to Kingsbridge during the celebration dinner and an ‘excellent’ meal was had followed by plenty of dancing.
Thursday morning was filled with many farewells as the residents of Weilerbach boarded their coach home with an invitation for Kingsbridge to visit Weilerbach next year.
