THIS month, Kingsbridge Silver Band is celebrating their 95th anniversary year with a series of performances in the local area.
Kingsbridge Silver Band was started in 1921 and has been in existence continuously ever since. This makes it one of the longest established bands in the country and they are now looking for new members to keep the tradition going.
The band meet on Tuesday evenings in the band hut next to Tesco in Kingsbridge.
The Silver Band perform a number of carol performances at Christmas and regular engagements include the floral dance during Kingsbridge Fair week in July, a summer open-air service at Hope Cove Methodist Church and Kingsbridge’s Remembrance Sunday ceremony each November.
