RAIN over the weekend triggered the discharge of sewage into sea by South West Water this weekend.

Charity and pressure group Surfers Against Sewage reported pollution at Salcombe on Sunday, as well as Meadfoot Beach, near Torquay and Teignmouth Holcombe Beach.

Pollution at Salcombe is yet to clear, and the charity is advising all to stay out of the water until it does.
