THE Salcombe Community Gospel Choir will be performing at Galmpton Church near Hope Cove, on Saturday, October 8 to help raise much-needed funds for the church.

They will be supported by the Gazunder Band, well-known in the South Hams for their jazz classics.

Musical director of the choir Caroline Evans said: ‘Following our busy period prior to the summer break, we are now starting our autumn and winter schedule.

‘We had a fantastic response for the concert in Salcombe in aid of Salcombe RNLI and we hope many of the audience will come along to Galmpton on the 8th to help the church fundraising.’

Concert organiser Clive Higgs added: ‘We have had two very successful concerts in the past and many people have requested we ask the gospel choir. I am sure they will fill the church with their infectious brand of music.

‘And for a complete contrast we have the Gazunder Band, so there will be music for all tastes.’

Tickets can be reserved by calling Clive on 01548 560423 or Brenda Green on 01548 561872, or can be bought on the door, subject to availability.

The evening starts at 7pm for 7.30pm.
