The monthly summer concert series at the Seven Stars, Kingsbridge saw Silvington, Paul Woodcock and the Lazy Cows Ukulele Band and the Debman Duo performing in July.
The event drew a bumper audience who shared an evening of good humour and music that had everybody tapping their feet and singing along.
Popular lyrical duo Silvington features John Connor and Tricia Moore; while the Lazy Cows Ukulele Band is lead by Paul Woodcock, owner of Modbury Melodies music shop; and the Debman Duo is made up of Norman Hore and Debbie Board, who organised and hosted the concert.
Norman Hore from the Debman Duo said: “The idea of these evenings it to organise musical events where experienced artists can get together and share each other’s styles and combine their efforts.
“This involves exchanging lyrics and music before each event so each performer can practise adding harmonies, extra instruments or accompanying melodies.
“During the concert, the musicians perform their own numbers but each set ends with a joint effort involving a combination of singers, instruments and audience. “This adds extra excitement for the performers and, hopefully, an extra buzz for the audience,” said Norman.
The next concert is on Wednesday, August 23 at 7.30pm.
Any members of the audience who want to make a complete evening of it can reserve seats for the concert if they are dining in the pub’s restaurant.
There is no charge to attend, but the audience is invited to contribute to the cost of running the evening by making a voluntary donation.
