A team of parents and friends has take up the challenge of running 10k along the coast and raised £1,000 in sponsorship.
The team from Merry-Go-Round Preschool, Stokenham, ran the 10km on Sunday, May 20, which raised over a £1,000 in sponsorship for the preschool.
The run was organised by Ali Pieterse, vice-chair of Merry-Go-Round, and Thea Butler, owner of The Tower Inn, Slapton.
The determined team put on their running shoes, and starting at Start Point car park they ran along the coastline, through Hallsands and Beesands to Torcross, along the never-ending Slapton Line and around the Ley, before ending up at The Tower Inn in Slapton.
Where they were rewarded with well-deserved refreshments and a delicious and filling roast dinner.
On behalf of Merry-Go-Round Preschool staff and children, the manager, Alison Pope, would like to thank all sponsors, runners and The Tower Inn, for supporting the preschool.
The money raised will resource and continually develop the outside environment area.
