Following an amazing run of sell-out shows, westcountry tribute act The New Jersey Boys will be returning to Malborough Village Hall for one performance only on Friday, June 30.
The show’s originators, Gary Gould and his son-in-law Einar Vestmann, had performed many of the Four Seasons’ hits at venues on the Costa Brava, Spain. And on their return to the UK in 2008, they realised the enormous appeal of a complete Jersey Boys show.
With the West End production of the Jersey Boys breaking all records, Gary and Einar worked hard to put their own stamp on the family show.
All-round-entertainer Gary brings more than twenty-five years of musical experience to the show, combining tongue-in-cheek humour and audience participation.
Einar Vestmann is an Icelandic classically-trained musician, brought up in Sweden. His remarkable falsetto and sheer vocal range frequently attracts standing ovations. Vocalist Ricky Lee White from Plymouth, who has performed in the West End production of ‘Oliver!’, provides strong support with both harmonies and solo spots. And singer Tom Giles, the show’s most recent member, blends well into this vibrant and popular show which has built up a loyal following.
An added bonus to the Malborough evening will be a tribute to another great rock and roll band, Showaddywaddy. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing and dancing!
Tickets are £16 and available from Malborough Post Office on 01548 561 227; Kingsbridge Tourist Information Centre on 01548 853 195; Salcombe Tourist Information Centre on 01548 843 927; or online at www.wegottickets.com.
