The driver of the Stagecoach double decker bus that overturned and injured 37 people in Totnes last October has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of dangerous driving.
Twenty-year-old Kameron Allan of Paignton appeared at Newton Abbot Magistrates Court this morning charged causing serious injury by driving a Stagecoach Gold double decker bus dangerously on the A385 at Longcombe Cross, Totnes on October 5 2019.
The injured people are named as Mary Westley, Cheryl Russ, Gareth Pass, Gillian Spackman, Robert Ritson, David Duncan, Susan Ratcliffe, Mary Bailey and Zita and Eammon Delaney.
Allan, who was 19 at the time of the crash, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address, pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The case was sent to be heard at Plymouth Crown Court on Monday October 19.
Allan, of Kendlewood Close, St Michaels, was released on unconditional bail.
More than 140 police officers paramedics and firefighters attended the scene of the crash, which happened as the bus was travelling from Paignton to Plymouth on the A385.
It ended up sideways in a field next to the road just before 11am on Saturday October 5 last year.
Declared a major incident, 13 ambulances and four helicopters attended the scene of the crash and ferried 37 people to hospitals.
