UPDATE at 4.15pm: Traffic is now moving slowly but one lane remains closed.

There are currently tailbacks on the A386 in both directions near the Dartmoor Diner after a serious accident this afternoon at Roborough Down.

The Devon Air Ambulance was in attendance along with the police and fire officers.

The police said the accident occurred at about 2.45pm.
