Staff and customers at a Kingsbridge supermarket have raised more than £250 for the South Devon branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Volunteers spent the day collecting outside Morrisons on Cookworthy Road on Saturday, May 27.
Isabel McKinlay, fundraising officer at the MS Society, said: “I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff and customers at Morrisons who kindly supported us to raise funds for the MS Society South Devon.
“A fantastic amount of £254.54 was raised on the day and will be used to support local people affected by MS in the local area.
“Some of the services provided include a weekly physiotherapy exercise class in Paignton and Newton Abbot, respite care and grants to make life more comfortable for those affect by MS, so this amazing amount is very much appreciated.
“I would also like to thank the volunteers who gave up their free time to help us with this collection. Without them it would have been impossible to raise so much.
“Once again I would like to thank everyone at Morrisons for their tremendous support.”
