SDFL Division Two
Salcombe Town 10,
Dartmouth seconds 2
Salcombe returned to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over a young Dartmouth side.
Salcombe started on the front foot and took the lead after five minutes when Ashley Yeoman finished off a good passing move. Town were playing some superb passing football and three further goals took the game away from their opponents.
An own goal from Kieran Stallard heading in from a defensive mix-up gave Dartmouth hope, but Yeoman soon completed his hat-trick to round off the first half.
Salcombe started the second half in the mood for more goals and Yeoman’s fourth and debut goals for Edd Tymon and Ryan Colmer put the victory beyond doubt.
Dartmouth scored a further consolation when Alex Buscombe headed in from a corner, but Yeoman then completed his double hat-trick with two quick goals to seal an excellent individual and team performance.
The club would like to thank the Victoria Inn for sponsoring the match ball.
Salcombe are away tomorrow at Buckfastleigh Rangers with a 2.30pm kick-off.
