I wanted to thank the Gazette for running our story last week – ‘Animal shelter having kittens’. I’m delighted to say we’ve had a great response.
One lady, who has recently lost her much-loved 18-year-old cat, phoned us on the day the paper came out. She came over to see us the same afternoon and has chosen to take two of our lovely kittens, Patrick and Norman.
We’ve also managed to rehome one of our older cats, who had been with us, free-range by day, for more than three years.
In addition, we have a potential new sponsor in a local couple, who again have recently lost their elderly cat. They are not looking to take on another one at the moment, but until they read the article they didn’t realise sponsorship was an option.
In total we’ve managed to find homes for four more kittens and we’re over the moon.
Thanks to the Gazette, we’re now in a position where we can take in and help even more needy cats.
